miraA few days after the victory of the President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, he appointed members of his team for the transition of power, which include Mira Radielovic Ricardel who is originally from Breza in BiH.

According to the list published by the Associated Press, in Trump’s team was selected Mira Radielovic Ricardel, a Croat from Breza in BiH, according to Index.hr.

Previously, she was Deputy Minister of Defense of Donald Rumsfeld and the Vice President of the branch of Boeing Company, which is engaged in the production of military aircraft and weapons.

Večernji.hr writes that her father Petar emigrated from the former Yugoslavia to Germany in 1954 after Bleiburg. He lived in Heidelberg for two years where he met his future wife Brigitte. They both went to the United States in 1956. They got married there and settled in Pasadena, California.

Her political career started in the mid-nineties when she was adviser for foreign and defense policy for the leader of the Republican majority in the Senate, Bob Dole.

She was intensively included in the consultation regarding the dissolution of the former Yugoslavia and on finding solutions for the conflict that has subsequently emerged. She firmly claimed that the Serbian aggression is the main factor for outbreak of the war.
