Istanbul Delegation source.baDonation of 1,000 measuring devices for the “Vodovod i Kanalizacija” (Water and Sewerage) and the arrival of new buses for the enterprise GRAS were announced during yesterday’s meeting of the Turkish delegation of the City of Istanbul led by Ismail Hakki Turnuc with the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Elmedin Konaković and the ministers of traffic, communal economy and infrastructure Mujo Fišo and Senad Hasanspahić.

Turnuc informed his hosts from the Sarajevo Canton that he will do everything in order to jointly resolve issues highlighted during the visit to the cantonal public utility companies GRAS and “Vodovod i Kanalizacija”.

During the visit to GRAS company the delegation could see how the things changed for better in the past year, but also how it is necessary to primarily build adequate work spaces for maintenance and repair of the buses, with mandatory introduction of one good software for tracking the status of buses and crossed kilometers.

“You still have the ticket payment issue and I believe you could resolve it by closing tram stations with advertisement panels, thus also reducing additional costs for advertisements,” Sevket Eygi highlighted.

Minister Fišo thanked for the last donation of 30 buses from Istanbul that helped GRAS come to life again.

Prime Minister Konaković thanked the guest for everything they are doing for Sarajevo and pointed out that this business cooperation will continue in the future, announcing the arrival of the Mayor of Istanbul in March 2016.

The meeting was also attended by the directors of enterprises GRAS and “Vodovod i Kanalizacija” Avdo Vatrić and Nezir Hadžić, who promised to deliver all data needed to the delegation from Turkey by the end of this week, in order to start with the implementation of their constructive proposals as soon as possible.
