The Democratic Initiative for Europe, as an informal group of parliamentarians from the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, sent a bill on amendments regarding the Election law to the BiH Ministry of Justice, whose goal is to improve the electoral process and functioning of the BiH government.

This proposal is based on the suggestions of possible amendments to the Election law, a document that was presented as a public initiative in February.

Martin Raguž, a member of the Initiative and parliamentarian from PSBiH explained at today’s conference for the media in Sarajevo that the initiative raised the issue of the process with the need for the BiH Election Law to comply with European standards.

The suggestion is based on 10 amendments to articles of the BiH Election Law, which should enhance and improve the election process in BiH.
