sedam_sarajevo_1Last night in the packed hall in SARTR in Sarajevo, the B&H tour of the theatrical reading of the drama ‘Sedam’ began.

‘Sedam’ continues its tour tonight in Mostar at the Croatian National Theatre at 20:00.

Every seat was taken, and many people sat on the floor to watch the performance. Sometime after 20:00, Darija Buzaković, Besima Borić, Kristina Ljevak, Tanja Miletić Oručević, Amna Popovac, Vesna Andree Zaimović and Selma Spahić arrived on the scene to present the people of this revolutionary documentary drama: Hafsat Abiolu, Annabellu de Leon, Mu Sochua, Inez Mccormack, Marinu Pisklakovu-Parker and Mukhtar Mai, and then they began to talk about their stories.

After Mostar, the ensemble will go to Banja Luka, where they will perform at the City Theatre Jazavac on Thursday, 7 November at 20:00. Entrance is free.

Based on the interviews in 2007, ‘Sedam’ was written by seven award-winning drama authors: Paula Cizmar, Catherine Filloux, Gail Kriegel, Carol K. Mack, Ruth Margraff, Anna Deveare-Smith and Susan Yankowitz.
