The Honorary Consulate for the Midlands hosted a reception for members of the Midlands interfaith community ahead of their upcoming visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina this June.
During their visit to the Consulate in Birmingham, the delegation met with Dr. Anes Cerić, Honorary Consul, to discuss the programme, including a planned visit to the Potočari Memorial Centre, and to gain a deeper understanding of the historical and social context they will encounter.
The meeting provided an important opportunity for dialogue, reflection and preparation for the upcoming visit.
The Honorary Consulate of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Midlands opened last year and is now fully operational, based in the Bosnian House in Birmingham.
The Consulate’s mission is to build bridges and strengthen ties between the UK and Bosnia and Herzegovina through the development of economic, cultural and sporting cooperation, as well as fostering mutual understanding and partnership between communities.
