Police officers of the Criminal Police Sector and the Police Support Sector of the Police Administration of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, acting on the orders of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have been conducting searches at several locations in the area of Sarajevo Canton. In cooperation with members of the MUP of Republika Srpska, searches are also carried out in the area of Rudo.
The operational-tactical action “Overdose II” is carried out under the supervision of the prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of documenting organized crime (Art. 250 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina) in connection with the illegal traffic in narcotic drugs (Art. 195 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina) Unauthorized traffic in weapons and military equipment and dual-use products (Art. 193 CC BiH).
In the course of activities so far, certain quantities were found during the search: unknown substances that look like heroin, unknown things that look like cocaine, cash in EUR and BAM, weapons and ammunition, and mining machines cryptocurrency. Three passenger motor vehicles were also temporarily confiscated.
In the official premises, the criminal processing of several persons is ongoing.
Action “Overdose II” is the result of the operational work of police officers who analyzed data obtained by decrypting communications via the Sky application among suspects, and is a continuation of the operational-tactical action carried out in April this year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS announced.
