SONY DSCThe Ambassador of the Netherlands to BiH Juriak Krak laid a stone to mark the beginning of the construction of a pellet factory yesterday in Rastoka in municipality Ribnik. The Dutch company “Walschot Bioenergy” will invest around 11 million euros, and there will be 50 new jobs.

The plant for the production of standard and black pellets will be built on an area of 2.500 m2, as well as silos for finished products with a total capacity of 5.000 tons. The plant will produce annually 40.000 tons of black and standard, white pellets, announced portal Indikator.ba.

The Dutch Ambassador expressed his satisfaction that a Dutch investor found his way to Ribnik and came here to invest his knowledge.

The Mayor of Ribnik Goran Savić said that the factory will be of huge importance, because by the end of the year there will be 50 new jobs.

“This is one of the rare investments, especially by foreign partners. These projects have the support of the local community. In our municipality, there are around 9.000 people and 900 people are looking for jobs. Thus, this factory will be very important’’, said Savić.

The owner of the Dutch company is Ron Walschot.
