Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, congratulated the newly elected President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, after she won the presidential elections.

“The Republic of Slovenia is a very important country for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I believe that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a very important country for the Republic of Slovenia, primarily because of our common history, geographical proximity, Euro-Atlantic orientation, economic connections and the large BiH diaspora in Slovenia,” stated Džaferović.

In his congratulatory message, he emphasized that Slovenia’s support for BiH’s European path is of exceptional importance, which was especially evident in the past period, when Slovenia was the loudest proponent of granting BiH candidate status.

He expressed his belief that during the mandate of the newly elected president, relations between the two countries will be further strengthened and improved, the BiH Presidency announced.
