Džeko, Begović and Pjanić spent time with Children from the Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Youth

govorimo o mogućnostimaThe Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Youth Sarajevo today signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with United Nations Fund for Children (UNICEF) in B&H and with the Special Olympics of Youth Sports Games titled “Youth Sports Games talking about the possibilities.”

UNICEF in partnership with USAID and the European Union Delegation in B&H launched a campaign, “Govorimo o mogućnostima”, “We’re talking about the possibilities,” whose aim is to improve and to change attitudes and practices of the general population in regard to children with disabilities and their families.

In cooperation with the Youth Sports Games, UNICEF organizes a number of events as part of the campaign, of which the first one is gathering of children from the Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Youth and Children Youth Sports Games participants with B&H representative Edin Džeko the ambassador of UNICEF, Miralem Pjanić, ambassador of Youth Sports Games, and Asmir Begović, Ambassador of the Special Olympics in B&H.

“Two months ago, I was with these children and I was thrilled with their abilities. We need to enable them a normal life and development”, said Džeko and his colleagues Asmir Begović and Miralem Pjanić are also pleased to be a part of this action.

Kids of Games participants and children from the Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Youth, with representatives of B&H team after the signing of the Memorandum played a football match.

Pjanić expressed the satisfaction for the opportunity to play this football game.

“It is very important to me that we are all here today, and we support our young people. I think that’s a good sign for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that our country needs more of such projects”, he said.
