13115670_1168784203172534_624160214_nOn the occasion of one of the most important holidays in Christianity, the Orthodox Easter, an Easter liturgy was held in the Church of the Holy Mother in Zenica.

Christ’s resurrection represents the foundation of Christianity and the Church, and today’s holiday represents a victory of life over death. Several dozens of believers gathered this morning for the Easter liturgy in the Church of the Holy Mother, and the Parson of Zenica Marko Maleš said that Easter is a foundation of religion.

“Easter is a holiday celebrating the victory of life over death, justice over injustice, and Christ’s resurrection is the foundation of our religion and a proof that God was among us and that he will indeed save us,” Maleš said.

Members of the Board for Interreligious Cooperation Zenica also congratulated today’s holiday.

“Today, we all realize that the greatest joy is the one coming as a consequence of what we are willing to do for others, and that our great fulfillment is in giving ourselves to others. In giving to those whom we love. Truly, there is one gift greater than all other gifts – the gift of love for one’s own life, which shines in everything we do. On this great holiday of Easter, more than ever we discover that the greatest gift we can give is the joy of living. Our gratitude, our internal peace, our feeling of prosperity and trust. This is being built by giving and receiving throughout life, because no one lives for himself and no one dies for himself,” stated the Board for Interreligious Cooperation Zenica and congratulated Easter to all believers who celebrate it.
