Egyptian Ambassador to BiH Meets with Central Bank Governor to Strengthen Economic Ties

Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina Jasmina Selimović, expressed her great appreciation for Egypt, its positions, and the long-standing friendship between the two countries at all levels.

During her meeting with Egypt’s Ambassador to Sarajevo Walid Hagag, Selimović expressed her aspiration to cooperate with Egypt to open more channels of coordination and facilitate work mechanisms that contribute to advancing bilateral relations between the two countries.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the economic field and encourage mutual investments between the two sides. It also discussed opportunities for cooperation that could be established between the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and its counterpart in Bosnia.

The meeting also discussed providing training and capacity-building opportunities for Bosnian cadres in the monetary, banking, and economic fields as an extension of what Egypt provides to Bosnian cadres from various ministries and other government agencies.
