sweden.ambassadorThe Embassy of Sweden fully supports various projects in the area of Trebinje, and it will continue so in the future, all in order to make life of residents better and to help BiH on its path towards the EU.

The previous was concluded after a meeting Swedish Ambassador to BiH Anders Hagelberg with representatives of Trebinje led by Mayor Luka Petrovic, who introduced him to the pace of implementation of projects in Trebinje, that are funded by the Embassy of Sweden.

“I would like to thank for the donation of one million euros by Embassy of Sweden. The city of Trebinje will use the money for wastewater treatment and sewage. The tender procedure is ongoing and we expect by the end of the month to conclude a contract with the selected contractor,” said Petrovic, adding that the Embassy of Sweden has a lot of understanding for the development of tourism and agriculture.

“The city of Trebinje will get a space in the project “Farm II”, which is a joint project by the Swedish Embassy and the USAID. The Embassy of Sweden helps in making the land registry and adequate database in the software that will be presented tomorrow in the regional center of Surveying and Mapping Authority of Trebinje. This software will give the assistance primarily for the payment of taxes on real estate, municipal taxes and the resolution of property issues. All of these projects provide support to new investments, development of private sector and reducing unemployment, “concluded Petrovic.

Ambassador of Sweden to BiH Anders Hagelberg noted that Sweden supports BiH for many years, both at the state, entity, and at the local level.
