The municipal court in Bosanska Krupa sentenced Elvira Čolić to a suspended sentence of six months because, as a hygiene maintenance worker at the health center in that municipality, she stole 7,173 BAM and five euros from an injured person who was brought to the emergency service after a traffic accident.

She was accused that on November 8, after first aid was given to a person injured in a traffic accident, according to the nurse’s order, she picked up the injured person’s wardrobe and took money from the pockets of his pants and wallet and appropriated it for herself.

Čolić was given a suspended sentence of six months with a one-year probationary period by an invalid verdict because she stole money from another person by taking advantage of her helplessness and a particularly difficult situation and thereby committed the criminal offense of aggravated theft, the Una-Sana Canton Prosecutor’s Office announced.

The announcement states that the accused has compensated the injured party.
