Energoinvest’s contract with Gazprom Export has been extended until December 31st, 2023, they confirmed from Energoinvest and emphasized that they have not yet received the gas price that will be valid in the first quarter of next year.

As they explained, the price of gas is formed quarterly, based on the movement of oil prices in the previous nine months.

“As soon as we receive it, and we expect it in the first half of January 2023, the public will be informed in a timely manner. As we have repeatedly pointed out and clarified, the price of gas is calculated according to our contract according to a mathematical formula that contains exact and real data, and Energoinvest cannot in no way influence its content, and therefore not even the price set by Gazprom,” Energoinvest announced.

They also noted that the price of gas here, due to Energoinvest’s long-term contract with Gazprom, is among the most favorable in the region and Europe.
