The mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karic, was invited to attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, which is traditionally held every first Thursday in February.

Karic pointed out that for her this invitation, and therefore her presence at this event, is a special honor and that it comes as a continuation of the international activities she carries out as mayor.

”I am going to Washington in the first week of February and it is a really special honor. I am sure that I will have a bilateral meeting with the mayor of Washington and that we will agree on cooperation. This is a continuation of the international activities that I carry out as mayor,” the mayor of Sarajevo emphasized.

Moreover, she emphasized the recent meetings with the mayor of Paris, stressing that there has been no bilateral cooperation between Sarajevo and this city for more than 20 years, and the mayor of Paris should visit the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in February.

In addition, Karic recently signed an agreement on cooperation with the mayor of Rome, which will be made official at the beginning of next year.
