Environmental Activists threw Soup on the armored Glass that protects the Mona Lisa

Two environmental activists spilled soup this morning on the armored glass that protects the “Mona Lisa” in the Louvre, justifying their action with the desire to promote “the right to healthy and sustainable food”.

The famous painting by the Renaissance master Leonardo da Vinci, which has been exhibited behind protective glass since 2005, has already been the target of vandals several times.

In May 2022, a man disguised as an elderly woman in a wheelchair threw a cream tart at the Mona Lisa. Even then, the picture remained undamaged, and the filling remained on the glass.
