natureEnvironmental challenges are today the greatest challenges in the world. Protection of natural resources is an imperative and everything that happens in this regard on the planet is in the context of international commitments, conventions and protocol,” said today Deputy FBiH Minister of Environment and Tourism Mladen Rudež.

Rudež participated in a roundtable on “Environmental Challenges 2014- local and global” which was held in Sarajevo as part of the 8th Jahorina International Film Festival of Ecology and Tourism.

Rudež added that BiH got involved in these processes with a comprehensive legal framework that is in line with international conventions relating to environment protection.

“BiH has acceded many of the conventions and these are facts that should be respected. I believe that BiH in this area has gone the farthest in terms of Euro-Atlantic integration. However, the hardest part of the job lies ahead and this is implementation of domestic legislation and international obligations,” said Rudež.
