The Directorate for European Integration of the B&H Council of Ministers received the invitation of the European Commission to take part in the first meeting of the IPA working group on Thursday in the EU Delegation in B&H in the afternoon.
During the recent visit of the EU Commissioner for Enlargement Štefan Fule to B&H, an initiative was announced for the formation of such a working group, as the instrument by which the European Commission seeks to assist B&H in the process of integration, especially in the use of pre-accession funds to address socio-economic challenges.
The meeting of the working group is the beginning of the realization of the announced initiative.
This was confirmed to Fena by Midhat Džemić, Head of the Agency for Bilateral Assistance of the EU in B&H in the sector for coordination assistance of the EU Directorate for European integration of the B&H Council of Ministers. He said that the meeting of the European Commission and the highest level in B&H, B&H Council of Ministers and entity governments tied to resolving delays in the implementation of the project IPA 2007-2013 ‘’the first requirement of the European Commission to allow B&H’s participation in IPA 2014-2020.
‘’Depending on the arrangements at these meetings, the EU Commission will most likely make appropriate decisions related to the continuation of preparations of the strategic document for IPA II 2014-2020’’, said Džemić.
The organizer of the meeting is the EU Delegation in B&H.
