The EUFOR Aviation Unit joined forces with the Air Force of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in a joint exercise carried out at the Butmir base as part of the annual training plan, EUFOR announced on Friday.

Pilots from the 1st and 2nd Squadron of the Air Force Brigade of the Armed Forces of BiH (AFBiH) took part in the pre-flight briefings led by specialists of the EUFOR Aviation Unit, where tactics were presented, knowledge was exchanged, and future cooperation was strengthened.

During four intensive days, synchronized activities were conducted in Mahovljani, Rajlovac, and the Butmir base, marking an important step in multinational aviation training.

At the same time, with the help of EUFOR helicopters, SIPA continued training in rapid rope descent and extraction from the aircraft, enhancing techniques and operational skills.

The training concluded with a medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) exercise demonstrating rapid response capabilities and outstanding teamwork among the organizations, the EUFOR Althea Mission stated.
