Deputy Minister of Defense for Resource Management of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Mirko Okolic and EUFOR Commander, Major General Anton Wessely visited the company Tehnicki remont Bratunac (TRB) with the aim of getting acquainted with the production capacities of this company and the possibilities of cooperation.

Representatives of the company from Bratunac presented to the guests the combat vehicles they produce, as well as several other production lines.

“The greatest interest was in our multi-functional combat vehicle ‘Despot’, but also in ‘Vihor‘. These are our products, which were developed by us and are already in service at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. That was the topic of yesterday’s visit – the combat vehicle ‘Despot’, the possibilities of equipping the combat vehicle ‘Despot’, its performance. A quick exercise and demonstration of the ‘Despot’ in combat shooting conditions was agreed upon,” said Slavenko Ristic, owner of the TRB company.

The EUFOR delegation had the opportunity to see for themselves the functioning of this company from the field of dedicated industry. The importance of TRB for the entire country is also reflected in the large number of employees, and aid to the company from institutions has been announced.

Wessely points out that the purpose of the visit is not control: “As part of our military cooperation with the Armed Forces of BiH, we wanted to see both this and the possibility of development, because we are interested in the development of the country, and a cooperation that would lead to the success of this company and their production would also mean good for all the inhabitants of this country”.

“That help will be reflected in some kind of advisory part, presentation part, that is, in that part that the institutions of BiHsupport any production in BiH. That production fills the budget, which we spend,” said Okolic.

This is a continuation and one of a series of visits to the company TRB from the Ministry of Defense of BiH, which aim to improve the operations of the business entity from Bratunac.
