Today marks the conclusion of the 17th international symposium, Mine Action 2021, with the focus being the exchange of knowledge and experience of all humanitarian mine related matters.
The participants from 15 nations had an opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss solutions to technical and managerial challenges and offered an insight into latest technologies, equipment and available methods, while manufacturers were able to exhibit and present their equipment. Operation ALTHEA was represented by Cmdr Albert Proszowski, our mine action expert at the symposium that was hosted in Novi Vinodolski, Croatia from 16 to 18 June.
EUFOR supporting Mine action in Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of its most important tasks and participation in an event such as this is of great benefit . EUFOR advises the EU in this area and works closely with the local authorities, the Demining Battalion of Armed Forces of BiH and BIH Mine Action Center.
