Reports of planted bombs were sent this morning to 17 schools in several municipalities of the Central Bosnia Canton (SBK), causing students and employees to be evacuated. Police have determined through inspections of the facilities that the reports were false.
The Operations Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the SBK received reports from police stations in Jajce, Travnik, Donji Vakuf, Bugojno, Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, Vitez, Kreševo, Fojnica, Novi Travnik, Busovača and Kiseljak between 7:25 and 10:00 a.m., after school principals received threats via e-mail about planted explosive devices.
The reports related to 15 secondary schools and two primary schools.
Immediately upon receiving the information, police officers went to the field, carried out evacuations and conducted counter-sabotage inspections, which determined that all reports were false, the SBK Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.
