EUFOR Officer found dead at Butmir Base in Sarajevo

”A member of the Bulgarian military contingent, who wasparticipating in the “Althea” operation that the European Union (EU) is conducting in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), was found dead yesterday with a gunshot wound at the Butmir base in Sarajevo, ” it was announced by the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense.

It was mentioned in the statement that the medical team that arrived at the scene of the accident and only stated the death of the man.

The case was reported to the Military Police, who immediately took measures and an investigation was launched.

The Bulgarian Ministry stated that the body of the officer will be transported to Bulgaria by a plane of the Air Force of that country.
