European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Oliver Varhelyi will arrive on Monday, November 28, for a two-day visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Varhelyi’s office confirmed.
The cabinet states that during the visit, Varhelyi will talk with officials in BiH about reforms and next steps on BiH’s European path.
Commissioner Varhelyi will meet with the new members of the BiH Presidency and other officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina to discuss upcoming steps and necessary reforms on BiH’s path towards the EU.
According to the official announcement, Varhelyi will have meetings in the context of the European Union’s support for Bosnia and Herzegovina in migration management and will attend the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Security of BiH and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) on the issue of voluntary and involuntary return.
It is also planned that the European Commissioner will visit FabLab, a digital innovation hub that is supported through the EU4DigitalSME project, it was announced from the Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
