European Olympic Committee Sends Help in the Amount of 50.000 Dollars

eocEuropean Olympic Committee at the meeting of the Executive Committee held in Nicosia decided to send emergency assistance in the amount of 50.000 dollars to help people affected by floods. The same amount will be send to B&H, Serbia and Croatia.

Money will be paid to the accounts of the National Olympic Committee in these three countries, which will be further forwarded, where is the most needed.

“We gathered here in order to discuss the best way to help areas affected by the terrible floods and I am glad we made this decision. We saw that the destruction is similar to war, that bad is the situation. Considering the great affection that people of this country have for sports, sports activities will play a major role in the recovery and repairing the damages of floods. This money will help elite and amateur sports during this difficult period, said President of the European Olympic Committee Patrick Hickey.
