On 26 March, on the first day of Passover, Jewish Cultural, Educational and Charity Association ”La Benevolencija” is starting to mark 450 years since the foundation of Jewish municipality in Sarajevo, and at 7 p.m. there will be an exhibition of Jakov Bararon’s paintings called ”Vista” (The View). The exhibition will be set in ”Novi Hram” Gallery.
Bararon was born in Belgrade in 1939, and finished his schools in Belgrade, Sarajevo and Paris. From 1992 he works and lives in Vienna. He exhibited all over the world, and his last exhibition in Sarajevo was in 1992.
His paintings are inspired by Old Testament, and they are somewhere between abstract painting and realism.
