Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded Decrease in January and February

In the period January-February 2020, the export amounted to 1 billion 762 million BAM, which is 1,2% lower than in the same period of 2019, and import amounted to 2 billion 778 million BAM, which is 2,3% lower than in the same period of last year. The coverage of import by export was 63,4% and international trade in goods deficit amounted to 1 billion 16 million BAM, according to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Agency for Statistics.

Export to CEFTA countries amounted to 261 million BAM, which is 1% lower than in the same period of 2019, while import amounted to 318 million BAM, which is 0,3% lower than in the same period of last year. The coverage of import by export was 82,2%.

Export to EU countries amounted to 1 billion 283 million BAM, which is 5,6% lower than in the same period of 2019, while import amounted to 1 billion 674 million BAM, which is 2,4% lower than in the same period of last year. The coverage of import by export was 76,7%.

For comparison, in the period January-Novembar 2019 export amounted to 10 billion 972 million BAM, which is 8,3% higher than in the same period of 2017, and import amounted to 17 billion 743 million BAM, which is 6,3% higher than in the same period of last year.

The coverage of import by export was 61,8% and foreign trade in goods deficit amounted to 6 billion 770 million BAM.

According to BiH’s Agency for Statistics, export to CEFTA countries amounted to 1 billion 776 million BAM, which is 9,3% higher than in the same period of 2017, while import amounted to 2 billion 136 million BAM, which is 1,2% higher than in the same period of last year. The coverage of import by export was 83,1%.

Export to EU countries amounted to 8 billion 71 million BAM, which is 11,1% higher than in the same period of 2017, while import amounted to 10 billion 709 million BAM, which is 5,7% higher than in the same period of last year.

The coverage of import by export was 75,4%.
