Just a few years ago, only a few local people knew about the Kravice Waterfalls, which is just 10 kilometers away from Ljubuski.

Thanks to the efforts and hard work of the people from PE “Parkovi” Ljubuski, which is managing this locality, the waterfalls on Trebizat River became an unavoidable destination for all tourists who are visiting Herzegovina.

“We have recorded a 20 % increase in the number of tourists in the last couple of year. Thus, we recorded 163,000 visitors in the year of 2016, and we had more than 200,000 sold tickets,” said manager of the Business Unit Kravica, Nikica Vucic.

When it comes to structure of guests, 70 % of them are foreigners and 30 % are domestic tourists. Foreign tourists are mostly coming from Poland, Italy, Arab countries and Croatia.

The Municipal Council of Ljubuski decided to further increase the price of tickets for this natural complex. Therefore, at the peak of the season from July 1 to September 1 next year, tourists will need to allocate 10 BAM for the ticket.

They are currently working on the plan of activities for the next year, which should be finalized in the spring of 2018.

We will be working on isthe extension of the tourist offer on the entire Municipality of Ljubuski, in order for our guests to stay longer than one day, said Vucic, adding that the construction of a bungalow camp is planned in the future period as well.

“I cannot tell you exactly when this plan will be realized, but the construction of a camp near the waterfall is certainly in our plans and it has economic sense. At the moment, we mostly have one-day visitors, but they would stay for a few days if we offer them accommodation and a wider tourist offer,” noted Vucic.
