Best Ski Season in the Last two Decades finished

bjelasnicaSki season on Bjelasnica and Igman was finished yesterday, while on Jahorina, it will be extended until 1st of May. Skiing on Vlasic was finished few weeks ago.

Tourist workers evaluate this season as an extremely successful, especially in terms of weather conditions. Lovers of skiing will be able to enjoy in snow on Jahorina few more days, although the number of skiers is lower every day.

“There are still conditions for skiing, but it is clear that winter  goes and that we will wait for more massive skiing until the next season“, said Dragan Sokolovic from the Olympic center Jahorina. This Thursday, the final skiing for employers of the Olympic center Jahorina will be organized, but all those who find themselves on ski resorts will be able to enjoy in the planned program.

When it comes to results of this year’s winter season Sokolovic said that they are very satisfied, especially if you take into account the fact that the last year was very bad.

“On Jahorina, we had roughly around 150.000 overnight stays, i.e. around 1.2 million ski “passes““, said Sokolovic. Those are still rough estimates, but the increase is evident.

He added that they are working on preparations for the summer season.
