Facebook Group gathered nearly 37.000 Members of JNA from the entire Yugoslavia

Established in 2014, a group on social network Facebook titled “Find friends from the former JNA” currently gathers around 27.000 members from the territory of the entire Yugoslavia and popularity of the group increases day after day.

According to administrators, this group was formed with the aim of connecting the former comrades who served together in the army in Yugoslavia and who lost contact over the years.

“Nationality, political and every other affiliation are unimportant here. Find your old friends from Yugoslavia,” it is written in the description of the group.

Bosnians and Herzegovinians, Serbians, Croatians, Montenegrins, Slovenians, Macedonians – all of them regularly post their photos from their time in the army and ask for information and contact of their long lost friends.

Apart from photographs of soldiers, on this group there are many different interesting details related to the serving in JNA – from train tickets preserved by soldiers, old army books, letters and postcards, photographs from parties, memories of first loves…
