Aida TuzlaWorkers of the Shoe Factory “Aida“ for several days are not protesting at streets of Tuzla and in front of the building of The Government of TC. The reason is that workers are again in front of machines in the factory, producing thousands of pairs of shoes worth around 15 million BAM, that the management of the company contracted few days ago.

Trade Union of “Aida“ is in negotiations with the Government of TC for days about finding a solution for binding of 18 years of service for more than 300 workers of this factory. With the aim of finding the solution of the problem, at the last session, as it has been agreed at the earlier meeting with workers, Government of TC adopted a decision on the appointment of the working group for drafting agreement on binding years of service of employees of the Shoe Factory “Aida“ d.d. Tuzla.

As it is states in the official document of the Government of TC, workgroup is consisted of representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Industry and Work, and representatives of the Cantonal agency for privatization, Institute for employment, PDI Institute and representatives of workers. The task of the group is to prepare an agreement and submit it to the Ministry of Industry within 45 days.

Trade Union of “Aida“, however, states that it will not accept solutions of this workgroup if they reflect previously presented opinions of the Government of TC.

“If those solutions are predicting first binding of eight months of a service, binding of the rest of years of service in the next three years. And sending workers to the employment office, we will not accept that. If solution is predicting for workers to work these three years, how much they are supposed to wait for binding of years of service, we will agree“, said Uzicanin.
