The former director of the Federal Administration of Civil Protection, Fahrudin Solak, who was sentenced to six years in prison in the “Respiratori” affair, reported to the prison in Vojkovići to serve his sentence, said the director of the prison, Siniša Perković.

Perković said that Solak reported to serve his prison sentence last night.

Solak was sentenced to six years in prison for procuring Chinese ventilators during the pandemic caused by the coronavirus.

After the second-instance verdict, he submitted a request to delay going to prison, but the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejected the request.

The owner of the company “Srebrena Malina” Fikret Hodžić was sentenced due to the disputed purchase of ventilators, worth 10.5 million BAM, who previously reported to serve a five-year sentence, while the former FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić, who was sentenced to four years in prison, has not yet reported.
