Police officers of the Banjaluka Police Department, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, conducted an inspection of the Banja Luka City Administration building, and on that occasion it was determined that there were no security threats.

The Police Administration of Banjaluka announced that this morning at 8:28 a.m., they received a phone call that a bomb had been placed in the premises of the City Administration of the City of Banjaluka.

“The on-duty prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Banjaluka was informed about all of the above, who classified the event as the criminal offense of ‘false reporting of a criminal offence’,” the statement said.

Due to a report of a planted bomb, the City Administration building was evacuated, and traffic in the nearby streets was blocked.

The mayor of Banjaluka Draško Stanivukovic and Vlado Đajić, president of the Banjaluka SNSD City Committee, accused each other of sending a false report about a bomb.

Stanivuković stated that Đajić and the President of the Banjaluka City Assembly Ljubo Ninković sent a report about the bomb. On the other hand, Đajić claims that the mayor’s associates did it.
