The biscuit factory “Lasta”, after a successful trial production of sweets, was officially opened on Wednesday in Capljina.

The opening was attended by numerous guests from the economic, political and social life of the country and beyond.

“It is my pleasure to be here and witness this important moment, reminding that the Government of the HNK in this convocation is strongly committed to strengthening economic growth by attracting investment, strengthening the competitiveness of the domestic economy and creating jobs that guarantee the stay of our young people,” Nevenko Herceg said.

He pointed out that, in addition to new jobs, the opening is a vital step in strengthening the economy of the entire canton, but also the region.

“Special congratulations and thanks to Petar Corlula and his associates who, with great effort and selfless efforts, raised “Lasta” from the ashes. They are creating new values from today, they are helping us to give new impetus to the wheel of progress, they are also giving our efforts to keep young families in this area. And Capljina, as an environment, has really been particularly prominent in this field for many years, on which I sincerely congratulate my colleague (Smiljan) Vidic and his associates,” said the Prime Minister of the HNK.

He added that the Government of the HNK is aware of the challenges and difficulties that businessmen face and cope with and that it is continuously taking measures to improve the business environment and enable easier investment, without which he believes there is no improvement or secure future.

From this factory, they said earlier that the primary goal of production is to satisfy domestic consumers, but also to ensure the placement of products for the European market, which would take a significant place on the economic scale.
