Farmers protest in BiH: Distribute the Land fairly

In Gradiška, a peaceful protest was held by farmers who demand that the land for cultivation that is given, as they say, be distributed fairly.

They pointed out that there is enough land, but the land was left for concession. They ask who will be awarded the concession.

“We asked for justice from the mayor four times, we were not granted. We asked for justice twice in the relevant Ministry and sent letters to everyone they asked for,” said the gathered farmers.

As they said, the mayor of Gradiska believes that the land is fairly divided.

“We want to build our country. There is enough land, we just need to distribute it fairly. Young people are looking for land so they can produce milk and meat, to feed their families, but this is forbidden to them,” said the farmers.

“At the City Assembly, our demands were not even read, they only said that the land was divided fairly, but that is not the case. We are asking for justice on the street,” they added.

The gathered requested that the scoring procedure for land allocation be made public, that the allocation of concessions be suspended until the livestock owners are settled, and that the lease be divided equally, otherwise, they said, they will be forced to organize protests, BNTV reports.
