The Minister for Community and Return in the Government of Kosovo spoke about how the previous night went and what information is known and whether there is more in the morning program “Wake Up”, Nenad Rašić joined the TV Nova program.
Rašić noted that the night in Banjska passed peacefully, despite the fact that the devastating tragic event happened yesterday in which in his opinion, unfortunately, will only produce some new effects.
“No one knows what could happen next. Yesterday, there was some kind of paramilitary formation that acted in a way that, first of all, in my opinion, is absolutely abnormal, and that one murder of a policeman happens and after that, that the monastery and its surroundings are used for further action, and I believe that this is it never happens to us Serb believers. All this makes this event even more absurd, it is certain that the investigation of the perpetrators will continue, you know that there were about thirty of them, which further leads to the fact that there will be tension and that there is a capacity for our citizens to be under the pressure and stress that occurs every day it happens not only near Banjska but also in all other places where Serbs live”, Rašić said and added that most Serbs live in the south and many of them are afraid that the situation will not escalate with them.
Rašić pointed out that he watched President Aleksandar Vučić’s press conference yesterday.
“I didn’t believe that it would happen, knowing how he knows how to manipulate, but I watched it for the first time and it was once again confirmed that President Vučić is not able to utter a single extended sentence without it being serious lies, insinuations and manipulations. He didn’t say anything, you can see for yourself, what that should mean, he blames the Kosovo Serbs, distances himself from it, it’s no act even though he expressed his condolences for the murdered policeman. On the other hand, he says that it is the Kosovo Serbs who organized themselves, who rebelled, and what should that mean, should it mean that he supports it in a way that some group of citizens should organize with all with the equipment they had to try to do something against the order. Also, what is believed is unconfirmed information and I take it with a grain of salt, it is believed that for several months there has been a camp that serves to recruit those young people, sometimes and very often, usually people who are a little under the imposition of authority, who are the last were trained for months in some, let’s call it, illegal camp near Raška. There is a belief that they were paid for it, I don’t know who organized it, but I’m sure if there is such a thing, I’m sure the authorities of law and order in Serbia would know. It is probably not possible for you to organize, because it is said that there were 300 people at those recruitments, at those military police trainings, without the security structures in Serbia knowing about it,” said Rašić and added that if Vučić knew everything, how could he not know about events in the village of Banjska.
A Day of Mourning has been declared in Kosovo, the decision was made by President Vljosa Osmani as a sign of respect for the murdered policeman near Banjska. The President of Kosovo, in accordance with the constitution, decided that Monday, September 25, will be declared a national day of mourning in honor of the policeman Afrim Bunjaku, who was killed in the north of Kosovo, the Kosovo Presidency stated, Nova.rs reports.
