FB&H: 50 million EUR for improving Road Traffic Safety

Loan for Road Traffic Safety depo.baThe Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina determined yesterday at the session the Draft contract on financing between B&H and the European Investment Bank (EIB) – Modernization of roads in the FB&H, worth 50 million EUR, with the Basics for its conclusion.

The project includes construction of new road sections and slow tracks, reconstruction of the asphalt layer, elimination of black points and reconstruction of tunnels and bridges, with the aim of improving traffic safety at 35 sections on the roads in the FB&H in total length of 290 kilometers.

Total project costs are estimated to 150 million EUR and the project would be financed by the means of the international financial institutions, of which 50 million EUR would be financed from this loan by the EIB.

The loan allocated to the FB&H will be repaid in 20 years, including five years of grace period.
