The FB&H government appointed an interim Governing Board of the B&H National Museum at today’s session.
Members of the new Governing Board of the National Museum are Jakob Finci, President of the Jewish Community in B&H and Srđa Hrisafović, Assistant Dean for International Cooperation of the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Sarajevo. The President of the Governing Board is Director Haris Pašović.
For some time already the FB&H government has been trying to find a solution that would lead to the reopening of the National Museum, after it was closed on 4 October 2012 due to financial problems.
It is believed that the new Governing Board would actively work to have the National Museum open its doors to visitors.
