The Prime Minister of the FB&H Nermin Nikšić and his colleagues received today in the FB&H headquarters in Sarajevo the Ambassador of Great Britain to B&H Nigel Casey.
At the beginning of the discussions, gratitude was expressed to the British Ambassador and his government for the support in the preparation of a set of anti-corruption laws.
‘’I am personally grateful to you and the Embassy of Great Britain because you have been with us from the beginning of this process that has lasted almost two years. Tese set of laws was unanimously adopted at the session of the government, which is very important and now remains to be adopted in the FB&H Parliament so that we could get a powerful weapon in the fight against corruption and organized crime’’, said Prime Minister Nikšić.
Casey stressed that the adoption of these laws is a long-term process that requires a lot of time to be done properly. During the meeting, they spoke of the coordination mechanisms with the EU and the achieved level of the establishment of the office that would deal with these issues.
Considerable attention during the talks were dedicated to the solution of problems of children from Konjević Polje that has been ongoing for almost two months because they do not have the adequate resources, nor can they be educated in their mother tongue within the national group of subjects.
‘’I am in contact with Minister Goran Mutabdžija and I will try to encourage him to take certain decisions in the next day or two so that children from Konjević Polje would return to school’’, said Ambassador Casey.
