The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the proposal of the FBiH Ministry of Health, adopted today decisions on the adoption of eight funding programs with criteria for the distribution of funds within the framework of current transfers to other levels of government and funds determined by the Budget of the FBiH for the 2023 year to this ministry in the total amount of 122,385,000 BAM.

There are two new transfers within these programs. They are biomedically assisted reproductive technologies and the prevention of the spread and early detection of HIV.

The Government of FBiH has adopted a program of expenditure of funds with distribution criteria for the Institute of Health Insurance and Reinsurance of the Federation of BiH, determined by the Budget of the Federation of BiH for 2023, in the amount of 33.5 million BAM.

These funds are allocated to two programs financed by the funds of the FBiH solidarity fund, namely for securing the right to health services in the amount of 13.5 million BAM, and for securing the right to medicines and medical devices in the amount of 20 million BAM. That is five million BAM more than last year.

In the decision, it was stated that to ensure the right to health services, as well as medicines and medical resources, which are financed by the funds of the FBiH solidarity fund in 2023, in addition to funds from the FBiH Budget in the amount of 33.5 million BAM, funds are also planned for this year from contributions for health insurance and other sources in the amount of 177,058,300 BAM. So that the total funds to the Institute for these purposes in 2023 amount to 210,558,300 BAM.
