At the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry, the Government of the Federation of BiH, at today’s session in Mostar, adopted the opinion in which it agrees with the Proposal for a decision on the temporary ban on the export of certain forest products, which the Ministry of Foreign Trade and economic relations of BiH submitted on January 26, 2023.

This decision, the implementation of which is proposed until May 31, 2023, temporarily prohibits the export of certain forest wood assortments with the aim of ensuring the necessary quantities for the processing industry and eliminating the threat of serious or irreparable damage to forests in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The temporary ban refers to the export of forest wood assortments classified in eleven tariff codes, which include untreated wood.
