FBiH Prime Minister met with the Head of World Bank Office in BiH

Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, met today with Head of the World Bank Office in BiH, Christofer Sheldon, and discussed joint projects of the FBiH Government and World Bank.

Prime Minister Nikšić introduced the guest to the Government’s priorities, as well as active and future projects, with special reference to infrastructural activities on Corridor Vc, and plans for the construction of a new highway route from Doboj to Tuzla, and further to Zvornik, along which a railway line would be built, stated the Press Service of the FBiH Government.

Head of the World Bank Office congratulated Prime Minister Nikšić and the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on his appointment, and, along with current projects, informed him about the new strategy of the World Bank, which will be based on three pillars, economic growth and development, improvement of public services in healthcare and water supply, and environmental sustainability and climate change.

He pointed out that the World Bank is at the disposal of the Government of the Federation for new ideas and activities, especially in the domain of just energy transition and digitization of public administration with the aim of simplifying the registration of companies and their operations.
