Federation of BiH records Price Increases

Consumer prices in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) increased by 1.1 percent on average in January compared to the previous month, while annual inflation was 3.3 percent, according to data from the Federal Statistical Office. Souvenirs

Food and non-alcoholic beverages in January were 2.1 percent more expensive on average compared to December, transportation by 1.1 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and other energy sources, and other goods and services by 0.8 percent each.

Alcoholic beverages and tobacco also increased in price, by 0.6 percent, healthcare, restaurants and hotels by 0.2 percent each, furniture, household appliances and regular home maintenance, and recreation and culture by 0.1 percent each.

Clothing and footwear in January were 4.3 percent cheaper on average compared to the previous month, while prices in other categories remained unchanged on average.

In January this year, compared to the same month last year, prices in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina increased by 3.3 percent.
