[wzslider autoplay=”true”]The reconstructed Ferhadija Mosque was opened in Banja Luka yesterday, 23 years after being demolished on May 7, 1193 by Serb nationalists, who systematically shelled it, destroyed it, and then took its remains to a landfill.
Opening of this mosque built in 16th century was attended by thousands of believers, national and foreign diplomats, and more than 200 journalists from around the world.
Details from the opening of Ferhadija were also recorded by the Imam Omer Redžić from Prijedor. Enjoy the photographs.
