Ferhadija Street getting a New Look, Easier Movement for the Blind Persons

works3Repair works on the promenade and the reconstruction of water supply network in the Ferhadija Street, which belongs to the Municipality Centar, from Ćemaluša Street to the memorial “Vjecna Vatra” in Titova Street, is taking place as planned and should be completed by the end of December, as announced from this Municipality.

Municipality of Centar is the financier of the project in the amount of 440,000 BAM, the contractor is company “Sela”, while the monitoring is conducted by the company “Coning” from Sarajevo.

“As foreseen by the main project, which was done by the Public Enterprise “Zenica”, from the beginning of works on the 27th of October 2015 until now, after the removal of old damaged plate, the reconstruction of water supply network with connections to the surrounding residential and commercial buildings was finished, as well as reconstruction of the gas, electrical and network cable operators. Reinforced concrete plates were set, and now we are setting up new granite plates and curbs over that. Path for movement of blind and partially sighted people will also be marked on this part of the Ferhadija Street,” said Mesud Zimic, head of the construction site of the company “Sela.”
