Festival of Food and Music in Sarajevo Starts on Thursday

gastro_sarajevo-1The festival of food and music ‘7. Gastro Eko-Fest – Sarajlicious 2014’’ will be held from 17 to 20 April in Sarajevo, organized by the environmental organization ‘Dio Srca’.

As part of the festival that would be held under the slogan ‘Hrana sa Sevdahom’ (Food with Sevdah), there will be a series of educational events, presentations, and tourist, cultural and entertainment and gastronomic events.

The aim of the manifestation is to present to the public the rich cultural heritage and ethnic diversity of B&H, with traditional food, drinks and delicacies, music, dances and original costumes and customs and handicrafts from all over the country.

During the festival, there will be a specialized event called ”Šta su jeli naši stari” (What did our ancestors eat) and a special attraction called ”Dan ćevapčića” (Day of ćevapčići).

Students from the agricultural school will show their culinary skills, and students have prepared tourist attractions from the tourist and hospitality school.

Students of the elementary school ”Mehmed-beg Kapetanović Ljubušak” will present the cultural diversity of the peoples of B&H, announced the organizers.
