The Art Cinema ”Kriterion” will begin with the screening of the drama film called ”Biutiful”  from the 4th of January, with Javier Bardem in the leading role. This role has brought Bardem two awards for best actor on the Cannes Film Festival. The film has won four awards for best foreign film and several nominations in different categories.

The movie ”Biutiful” is directed by a Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu, who is famous for shooting films in foreign languages, or the language of the country where the film is shot. Since this is a film in his mother tongue the director paid great attention to it. The film follows the story of Uxbal who is suddenly made to face the fight against time. This movie is a unique story about a man who falls into a dark trap of death and experiences it as a challenge.

This film will be on the repertoire of the Art Cinema ”Kriterion” from the 4th  till the 9th of January.
