The financial and expert assistance of the European Union will be of crucial importance for the activities of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the economic and social fields, and for the acceleration of the energy and infrastructure projects started, it was pointed out at today’s meeting of the President of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, with the head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Johan Sattler.

Satler congratulated Prime Minister Nikšić on the election of the new Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and offered the support of the European Union to its work.

He emphasized several areas that will be of exceptional importance, which primarily refers to the field of energy and the process of its transition, the creation of assumptions for a more significant public-private partnership, and the fight against corruption, which should be accompanied by urgent legal and institutional assumptions.

Ambassador Sattler also announced the upcoming visit of EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi, who will present the new strategic package of the European Union with the aim of improving the European path of our country and its candidate status.
