The Financial Control of Agrokor’s Companies to be implemented?

meeting regional ministers AgrokorYesterday in Belgrade was held a meeting of the Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic with the ministers of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of BiH, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia regarding the affair of Agrokor with an analysis of potential implications on the countries of the region. At the session were defined conclusions, which will be implemented in the next period by countries of the region in which Agrokor operates.

Aware of the importance that Agrokor has in all regional countries, as well as its influence on the economy of each country and participation in the GDP, and with the aim to protect employees and interests of suppliers, several conclusions were adopted at yesterday’s meeting in Belgrade.

The ministerial team was formed, and it will be in a daily communication with the aim of exchange information and joint activities on preserving workplaces, protection of interests of suppliers and stable operation of the companies from Agrokor in each of the individual countries.

“Every country will implement the control of financial and good’s flows of companies related to Agrokor, in accordance with the laws in those four countries.”

“We expect from the new manager of Agrokor to appoint independent experts for the successful restructuring of companies that are part of the Group.”

“We expect from the new management of Agrokor to equally treat all suppliers, as those in Croatia, thus those outside Croatia.”

They expressed readiness to talk with representatives of the Government of Croatia on finding common solutions for stabilization of business operations of the entire Agrokor.

The meeting was attended by Aleksandar Vucic, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Rasim Ljajic, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Branislav Nedimovic, the Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Sarovic, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Montenegro Dragica Sekulic and the Minister of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia Zdravko Pocivalsek.
