telecommunicationIn December 2014, M:tel received a certificate confirming that the company fully meets the requirements of the international standards for information security ISO 27001:2013, M:tel announced. M:tel is the first company in the region that is certified for enhanced edition of ISO 27001 from 2013 standard.

The certificate of meeting the requirements of ISO 27001:2013 was issued by the accredited TÜV Austria Holding AG, which confirms that M:tel effectively applies the policy of information security management. An independent team for verification confirmed that in the company is evident the “high awareness and commitment of all participants to the information security system”, and that M:tel has “fully and impressively implemented all the requirements of ISO / IEC 27001:2013”.

Applying the Information Security Policy provides for the preservation of confidentiality, integrity and availability of information in processes that M:tel offers to its business users. This certification is confirmation of the serious approach of M:tel when it comes to reducing the risk for information security to a minimum, as well as evidence that the company properly and promptly treats the known risks to information security that may emerge.

By obtaining this international certification, M:tel has joined a group of world renowned telecom operators and once again confirmed its commitment to constantly raise the quality of operations and to strengthen the corporate image of the company.
